Can anyone post an event?
Yes. Anyone with an Internet connection can post an event. It is your responsibility to determine if they can lead the event. SocialMatching does not guarantee or certify the capacity of anyone posting events. Please refer to the "Terms of Use Agreement." We do NOT certify anyone leading events and/or event attendees. Both volunteers (you) and private companies can post their events.

How do I add someone as a friend?
Go to their profile and click on the hyperlink, "Add me as your friend."

How do I know if I have messages?
It will say on the left hand side of the Website "My Messages (#)." The number (#) refers to the number of messages you have. Your new messages will be in bold case on the subject line.

How do I send a message to someone?
Go to their profiles and click on the hyperlink, "Send me a message."

Someone is harrassing me, what do I do?
If someone is harrassing you and/or violating our "Terms of Use," please write to admin@socialmatching.com and tell us about it.

How do I change my profile?
Go to "Profile Settings" and change it.

I don't want my profile to appear on "Search People"
Go to "My Profile," and at the top right hand corner of screen simply remove the check for "Include in people search results."

How do I determine if the host (author) can lead the event?
There are two ways. First, look at the past events they have hosted to see if they've hosted something similar. Second, e-mail them and ask them about their experience. You MUST determine if they have the ability to lead an event! SocialMatching does NOT guarantee or certify anyone's ability to host and/or lead an event. Anyone with an Internet connection can host an event. Please refer to our "Terms of Use Agreement."

Does this site have events geared for non-singles?
Yes. We have events for friends, professionals, everyone, and business networking.

How do I change the number of people I intended on bringing to an event?
Go to "My events as participants" and you can change the number of friends you are bringing.

I'm not the right age and/or category, can I still attend that event?
Yes. You can attend those events. Those events are geared for a certain age and/or category. The ages listed are only suggestions created by the host. Please note that you MUST be at least 18 years old to be a member! You can not attend events where alcohol is served if you are under 21.

What do I do about Yahoo Maps & Mapquest?
It's blank because we are still working on it, so don't worry about it. If you have the link for your event's location, go ahead and put it in. If you don't, no worries!

How do I hide my age?
Go to "Profile Settings" and click on "Hide Age."

What is this site about?
Meet the people that you want to --singles, single professionals, friends, professionals, business networking, everyone, etc. by age. Attend events and/or create your own events! The host (author) decides how old the attendees should be for the event and whether it is for singles, friends, everyone, biz networking, etc. This site is by volunteers ! The people who post events are volunteers & private businesses.

What is the minimum age to be a member?
You must be at least 18 years old. To attend events where alcohol is served, you must be 21.

Want to add pictures for past events?
Go to "My Account" and click on either "My Participating Events" or "My Hosted Events."

Say "Hi" to the new members
Say "Hi" to the new members or add them as a "friend." Welcome them to our site. Perhaps you'll make a new friend. The most recent ones (new) are on the "Search People."

There's no events where I live
Create one! Log in and it will be in red on the left side. It says "Create Event." You can post events for California, Bay Area, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, Chicago, New York, Ireland, Boston, London, etc.

I never got the confirmation email
Check your bulk folder or junk folder.

How do I advertise my events?
Advertise it on www.Craigslist.com

How do I add a picture?
Go to "My Profile Settings" and go to top right hand corner for pictures. It only takes .jpeg, .jpg and .gif pictures.

How do I create events?
Log in and it will be in red on the left side. It says "Create Event."

How do I cancel from an event?
Go to "My Event as a Participant" and "Cancel."

How do I cancel my membership?

My picture was deleted?
It was because it was probably copyrighted.

Know any place to advertise FREE?
Such as newspapers (i.e singles section, biz networking, social groups) in a newspaper.Write to admin@socialmatching.com. Cheers!

Currently we don't send out emails when there are new events posted and when you get messages. Hence, check back for messages and new events.

We are working on the emails. If you get a message, it means someone has sent you an email. Do NOT reply to the email. Log in, to write them back. Sorry!

Spammers have been hitting our site
Our webmaster is battling spammers. Please don't reply to messages like this. They'll give up if no one replies to them.
